Who we are

Stripes & Pips is a sole trader business operating at stripesandpips.com. By using this website and purchasing access to the question bank, you agree to these terms.

The service

Stripes & Pips provides an online multiple choice question bank designed to assist candidates preparing for the NPPF Step 2 Sergeant and Inspector promotion examinations in England and Wales.

Access to the full question bank requires a one-off payment of £29, which grants 6 months of access from the date of purchase. A free sample of 5 questions is available to all visitors without an account.

What you get

On purchase you receive:

• Access to the full question bank for 6 months from your payment date
• Use of all revision modes available on the platform during that period
• Access to your personal dashboard and session history

The question bank is a work in progress. The live question count is shown on your dashboard and updated as new questions are added. Purchasing access at the introductory price means you benefit from all questions added during your access period at no extra charge.

Accuracy of content

Every question is checked against current legislation before being marked as approved. However, law changes. We cannot guarantee that every question will always reflect the most current position on every point of law, and you should not rely solely on this question bank as your only source of legal knowledge.

Stripes & Pips is a revision aid, not a legal reference. The statutory wording quoted in answers is Crown Copyright and is included for educational purposes. If you spot an error, use the flag function inside the question and we will review it.

We make no guarantee that use of this product will result in a pass in any examination.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Do not share your account with others - access is personal to the purchaser. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at info@stripesandpips.com.

Payment and refunds

Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Because access to the question bank is granted immediately on payment, we do not offer refunds once access has been activated. If you have a problem with your purchase, contact us at info@stripesandpips.com and we will do our best to help.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days, but this right is waived when you access the digital content before the 14-day period expires. By completing payment and accessing the question bank, you agree to waive this cancellation right.

Intellectual property

All question content, explanations, and site design are the property of Stripes & Pips. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or sell any content from this site without written permission.

Statutory wording quoted within questions and explanations is Crown Copyright and is reproduced under the Open Government Licence.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stripes & Pips shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this service, including but not limited to exam results, loss of data, or interruption of service.

The total liability of Stripes & Pips in connection with any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for access.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

We reserve the right to change the price of access at any time. Any change in price will not affect access periods already purchased.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
